The image is that of one of the Princess Kaguyahime.
Although the story of Princess Kaguyahime depicted is one, I drew various Princess Kaguyahime, as if many Princess Kaguyahime had occurred over time.
I made a panel out of wood, layered the base material to create a support, coated it with gesso to give it strength, then applied pigments to add color, and the image that emerged became the profile of the girl. On the side, I used kimono fabric and drew the birds and patterns that were drawn on the kimono into the picture, collaborating with the image of the kimono.
I used acrylics, pencils, pens, ink, and pastel powder, and coated them with a protective material after completion.
The kimono is used for the image of the memory of life, many gods (yaoyorozu), and gods and spirits that dwell in objects over time (tsukumogami).
It is the image of the modern Princess Kaguyahime.
It is also the image of tweets in the present age, overlapping the image of the murmuring of the bird on the head and the words of tweets in the world.
The expression on her face is one of bewilderment, as if she is being tossed about by various words, but I have depicted a scene that suggests where her heart lies.
