Meghan Murray American, b. 1994
Biography
Meghan Murray (b. 1994, Massachusetts) is an artist, administrator, and educator based just outside of Boston, MA. Murray received her BS in Studio Art from Skidmore College and her MFA in Painting from Boston University. Her representational painting practice embodies and simultaneously intervenes upon historical tradition, both in process and in subject. Murray’s most recent work is a continued investigation into intergenerational American ideals and clichés as viewed in the mid-century family photo album. Her paintings have been on view at such spaces as Abigail Ogilvy, LaiSun Keane, Morgan Lehman, Attleboro Art Museum, Boston University’s Sloane House, and virtually with newcube art through Future Fairs. She is a recipient of the 2022 Blanche E. Colman Award, the 2025 Roddy Award, and was awarded second place in the 2023 Miami University Young Painters competition by juror John Yau.

A Horse With No Name
9 Jan - 28 Feb 2026The gallery welcomes 2026, the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac, with a group exhibition devoted to the horse—its spirit, symbolism, and enduring presence in visual culture. Featured throughout the exhibition are works by contemporary artists who engage with the horse as both subject and symbol. One of the earliest animals depicted in human expression, the horse appears in prehistoric cave paintings and has carried a multitude of meanings across civilizations, from power and freedom to labor, myth, and transcendence. We selected twelve artists for this exhibition since there are twelve zodiac signs - Antonia Barolini-Alvarez, Audrey Bialke, Jen Deluna, Benjamin Hawley, Ezri Horne, Noa Ironic, Raina Lee, Campbell-Lynn McLean, Cici McMonigle, Meghan Murray, Stacey Rozich and Anna Danyang Song.Read more -
