Biography
Audrey Bialke (b.1991) paints representational oil paintings that feature fantastical creatures and historical renderings of animals in conversation with everyday objects and the pastoral landscapes of her upbringing. Bialke’s paintings contain elements of magical realism and are often bordered by elaborate patterns inspired by folk art and illuminated manuscripts, bringing an intellectual inquiry to decoration.
