Virtual Studio Visit - Noa Ironic

As part of our ongoing efforts to increase the visibility of the artists and works we present, we hosted an Instagram Live conversation with Noa Ironic. Her work is currently featured in the group exhibition A Horse With No Name, on view from January 9 through February 28, 2026.

 

Noa Ironic (b. 1993, Eilat, Israel) is an artist who lives and works in New York City. Raised and educated in an Orthodox Jewish household, her work engages personal history, cultural inheritance, and contemporary identity through painting.

 

Ironic received her B.F.A. from Shenkar Multidisciplinary Art School in 2019 and earned her M.F.A. in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). 

 

Her recent solo exhibitions include Bitter (New York), Rosenfeld Gallery (Tel Aviv), and Plan X Gallery (Milan). Her work has been featured in group exhibitions internationally, including Kunsthal Charlottenborg (Copenhagen), Freshpaint Art Fair: Special Edition (Tel Aviv), Tchotchke Gallery (New York), FIR Gallery (Beijing), Carlye Packer (Los Angeles), and Unit 1 Gallery (London).

 

Ironic has received numerous awards and fellowships, including the Emerging Artist Award from the Israel Cultural Ministry (2024), the Rhode Island School of Design Foreign Scholarship Award (2024), the Rhode Island School of Design Fellowship (2023), the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation Israel Award for Emerging Artist (2021), and the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Award for Outstanding Graduate (2019). Her work is included in private and public collections internationally.
