Ezri Horne American

The gallery welcomes 2026, the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac, with a group exhibition devoted to the horse—its spirit, symbolism, and enduring presence in visual culture. Featured throughout the exhibition are works by contemporary artists who engage with the horse as both subject and symbol. One of the earliest animals depicted in human expression, the horse appears in prehistoric cave paintings and has carried a multitude of meanings across civilizations, from power and freedom to labor, myth, and transcendence. We selected twelve artists for this exhibition since there are twelve zodiac signs - Antonia Barolini-Alvarez, Audrey Bialke, Benjamin Hawley, Ezri Horne, Noa Ironic, Raina Lee, Campbell-Lynn McLean, Cici McMonigle, Meghan Murray, Stacey Rozich and Anna Danyang Song.
