Artist Bio
Chase Travaille (b. 1994, Arkansas) is an American ceramic artist based in Little Rock, AR. Travaille earned an MFA in Ceramics from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 2019, following a post-baccalaureate in Ceramics at the University of Arkansas and a BFA in Ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute.
Travaille has presented solo exhibitions at LaiSun Keane, Boston, and the Windgate Museum of Art at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Their work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions nationally and internationally, including presentations at LaiSun Keane, Boston, the Dairy Arts Center, Boulder; Houston Center for Contemporary Craft; multiple venues at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana; NCECA exhibitions; and the Korean Society of Ceramic Arts International Exchange Exhibition in Seoul, Korea.
Travaille has received recognition and support, including the Windgate Fellowship and Taunt Fellowship from the Archie Bray Foundation, and was a finalist for the Young Sculptors Competition at Miami University. Additional honors include the International Sculpture Center’s Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award and recognition from Beautiful Bizarre Magazine. Their work is held in public and teaching collections such as the Archie Bray Foundation Permanent Collection, The Alfred Ceramic Art Museum, and university ceramic collections across the United States.
