Life, Still: Nancy Gruskin

23 April - 14 May 2020
Overview
This exhibition is about the 'quotidian' through the eyes of artist Nancy Gruskin. As we are staying home and socially distancing, the domestic scene is a subject matter that is more relevant than ever. Artists are inspired by their environment and as a caregiver and artist, Gruskin derives inspirations from interior objects and what is happening at the dining table and around her home. Through her work, we are given private snap shots of her domestic life. However, most of what we see is relatable - like eating take-out; a child hiding under the table; and the now common hand soap at the kitchen sink. This exhibition is brought to you exclusively online with an Opening Reception via Google Meet with supporting videos such as Gallery Tour, Artist in Conversation and Artwork Feature on our website and all social media platforms.
