Further images
The six photographs selected for this exhibition reflect the values of individual freedom through depictions of frank sexuality. Erotic moments are paired with images of flowers, both of which are temporary, but distilled and preserved. Bold colors seek to convey both confidence in the subject matter as well as visual interest.
The images are derived from 35mm photographs, which are then digitized, and then undergo the process of dye-sublimation to create a print on metal. The translation of images through multiple processes, reflect the nature of memory, as each process alters the original. Unlike traditional printing techniques, the images penetrate the surface of the metal, giving them a particular depth of color.
These metal prints are unique objects that will not be replicated, and are exclusively available through LaiSun Keane.
