An Eclectic Group Exhibition Celebrating 250 Years of . . . ‘Freedom’

LaiSun Keane is pleased to present Mondo: United!, a group exhibition curated by artist Campbell-Lynn McLean. Opening on the eve of America's 250th Independence Day, July 3rd, 2026, this exhibition presents a gross survey of art and artists that holds a mirror to the inhabitants of America, in all their rich variety. Spanning a breadth of mediums, styles, generations, nationalities, and demographics, the exhibition explores, under the guise of sex, death, war, and sports – themes of: unity, individualism, community, autonomy, and reclamation – in the hopes of discovering a new sense of patriotism.

This exhibition features the work of Andrea Luper, Ariel Posh, Brooke Raven, Campbell-Lynn McLean, Isabel Couceiro, Jamieson Edson, Jordan McGirk, Julia McGehean, Kira Mastel, Michael Costello, Sophie Harpo, Virgil Tilks, and Yoorim Kim.

Drawing its name from the queer pop culture slang "Mondo Trasho" and John Waters’ provocative 1969 cult classic, the show reflects a curatorial vision rooted in anti-establishment sentiment, shock, and kitsch.
